Product Forms, Processing and Mill Sourcing

RequirementSupply Capability
PlatesFull-size or processed plates according to grade, thickness and commercial availability
SheetsStandard or cut-size sheets where the required grade and gauge are available
CoilsFull coils or slit-coil requirements according to grade, width, thickness and minimum quantity
ProcessingCutting, slitting, marking, edge preparation or other processing where technically and commercially feasible
SourcingAvailable stock, domestic mill sourcing or imported sourcing according to the approved requirement
PackingDomestic or export packing based on product form, transport method and agreed scope
Sourcing options are associated with manufacturers and brands such as SAIL, AMNS, JSPL, Evonith, Nippon Yakin, Outokumpu, ATI, VDM Metals and Special Metals. Mill or brand availability varies by grade, product form, dimension and order — a listed brand is not permanent stock, an authorised distributorship or a manufacturer endorsement unless supported by separate written evidence. Ready-stock and urgent-delivery enquiries are accepted; any 24–72-hour or other delivery statement applies only after stock, dimensions, quantity, payment, processing, inspection, documentation and destination are confirmed in writing.

Certificates, Testing, Inspection and Export Supply

Depending on the material, manufacturer and agreed order scope, supply may include a manufacturer material test certificate, heat-number traceability, chemical and mechanical test results, and EN 10204 Type 3.1 documentation. Type 3.2 certification, laboratory testing, ultrasonic testing, impact testing, HIC testing, IBR-related documents, PED-related requirements or other supplementary records must be specified and confirmed before ordering.

Third-party inspection by agencies such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, Lloyd's Register or DNV may be arranged when nominated, accepted and included in the commercial scope. Inspection does not replace the buyer's responsibility to specify the applicable standard, acceptance criteria, witnessing stages and document requirements.

  • Manufacturer material test certificate with heat-number traceability
  • EN 10204 Type 3.1 and, where arranged, Type 3.2 certification
  • Ultrasonic, impact and HIC testing where included in the order
  • IBR- and PED-related documentation where required and available
  • Third-party inspection: SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, Lloyd's Register, DNV
  • Seaworthy packing, marking, packing list and export documentation

Frequently Asked Questions

Which steel grades does Navgraha Steels INC supply?
The listed range includes SA 516 pressure-vessel grades, SA 516 Grade 70 NACE and HIC material, ASTM A36, S275JR, SA 387 chrome-moly grades, 16Mo3, Hastelloy C276 and C22, Inconel 625 and 825, and Monel 400. Availability depends on form, size, quantity and required condition.
Are all grades available in plate, sheet and coil form?
No. Manufacturing and commercial availability vary by alloy, specification, thickness, width and quantity. Confirm the required form and dimensions before treating a grade as available.
Can I request a particular mill or manufacturer?
Yes. State the approved mill, country of origin or brand restriction in the RFQ. Supply can then be reviewed against grade-specific availability and project approval requirements.
Are EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2 certificates available?
Type 3.1 documentation may be available with applicable mill supply. Type 3.2 requires specific validation or inspection arrangements and must be confirmed before the order. Certificate availability is material- and manufacturer-specific.
Can you provide HIC-tested or NACE material?
Applicable HIC-tested and sour-service material can be offered according to the stated standard and acceptance criteria. Provide the complete project specification because the terms "HIC" and "NACE" alone do not define every technical requirement.
Do you supply cut-size plates and slit coils?
Processing can be reviewed for applicable grades, dimensions and quantities. Provide finished size, tolerance, edge, marking and packing requirements to confirm feasibility and charges.
Can you export plates, sheets and coils?
Export enquiries are accepted. Product availability, documentation, packing, freight, Incoterm and delivery schedule are confirmed for the specific destination and order.
What details are needed for a price quotation?
Provide the grade, standard, form, dimensions, quantity, testing, certificate, processing, mill or origin restriction, delivery destination and required date. A complete RFQ reduces clarification time and improves quotation accuracy.
