Navgraha Steels INC supports refinery, EPC, fabricator, maintenance and project-buyer enquiries for carbon steel, pressure-vessel steel, chrome-moly steel and selected nickel-alloy flat products. Material selection depends on the equipment, pressure, temperature, process fluid, wet-H₂S exposure, corrosion conditions, fabrication route and approved project specification. India and export enquiries are reviewed against the complete RFQ.
Oil and gas refineries contain equipment operating under different service conditions. Crude processing, distillation, hydroprocessing, reforming, desulphurisation, heat recovery, storage and utility systems may involve pressure, temperature, cyclic loading, corrosion or hydrogen-related risks.
Typical procurement requirements can include separators, drums, towers, columns, reactors, heat exchangers, furnace components, pressure vessels, tanks, structural supports and fabricated assemblies. One material grade cannot be assumed suitable for every refinery component.
Important selection factors include:
| Equipment or Service | Main Concern | Material Route to Evaluate | Buyer Must Confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pressure vessels, drums and separators | Pressure, toughness and welding | SA 516 Grade 60 or Grade 70 | Design code, thickness, condition, impact and documentation |
| Wet-H₂S or sour-service vessel components | HIC, hardness and sour-service controls | SA 516 Grade 70 HIC or NACE pathway | Test method, solution, acceptance criteria and applicable standard |
| High-temperature reactors or process equipment | Elevated-temperature strength and PWHT | SA 387 Grade 11, 12, 22 or 91 Class 2; 16Mo3 where specified | Design temperature, creep requirement, heat treatment and code |
| Acidic or chloride-containing process equipment | Alloy selection and corrosion resistance | Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22, Inconel 625, Alloy 825 or Monel 400 where justified | Actual chemical, concentration, temperature, contaminants and approval |
| Platforms, supports and non-pressure structural fabrication | Structural load and fabrication | ASTM A36 or S275JR where suitable | Structural code, coating, load case and corrosion exposure |
Pressure-vessel materials may be considered for approved separators, flash drums, knockout drums, process vessels, heat-exchanger shells, columns and storage or process equipment. High-temperature service may require chrome-moly routes where the design code, operating temperature and PWHT requirements justify them.
Wet-H₂S service needs a more specific review. HIC testing addresses hydrogen-induced cracking resistance under defined testing conditions. SSC, SOHIC, hardness limits and NACE/AMPP requirements are separate matters and must be stated clearly in the material requisition.
Nickel-alloy material may be evaluated for selected corrosive process streams, scrubbers, acid-handling equipment, coolers, evaporators or heat-exchanger components. It must not be described as universally corrosion-proof. Chemical concentration, temperature, aeration, chlorides, impurities, fabrication and cleaning conditions can materially change the correct alloy route.
Refinery projects may require documentation beyond a standard material certificate. The applicable requirements must be defined before order placement.
Navgraha Steels INC reviews available stock and Indian or imported mill-sourcing options against the required grade, form, dimensions, quantity, certificate and project conditions. The actual mill, origin and supporting documents are confirmed in the quotation and against the supplied MTC.
Subject to specification and commercial feasibility, support may include plate, sheet and coil supply; cut-to-size, profiling, shearing, slitting, edge preparation and agreed marking; heat-number traceability through agreed processing; and mill- or origin-specific sourcing.
The company can coordinate documentation review, third-party inspection arrangements, domestic transport, export logistics, packing and shipping documents within the accepted order scope. Small, bulk and project requirements are reviewed subject to availability, MOQ and mill programme.
For Mumbai, India and export supply, send the delivery city, country or port, required date, quantity, Incoterm and packing requirements with the RFQ. Export planning may depend on material readiness, inspection release, packing, freight mode, shipping documents and destination-specific project conditions.
Refinery material pricing depends on the grade, governing specification, product form, dimensions, quantity, delivery condition, approved mill or origin, testing, inspection, processing, packing, freight, currency and destination.
Send your material requisition, equipment name, governing specification, grade, dimensions, quantity, tests, approved mill requirement and destination. Navgraha Steels INC will review the RFQ and identify the applicable material, sourcing options, documentation, processing and commercial terms.
