Industries We Serve

Navgraha Steels INC supports B2B enquiries for plates, sheets and coils used in process, energy, marine and heavy-fabrication projects. Buyers can route a requirement by industry, equipment, material grade and service conditions. Final material selection always depends on the approved design, code, operating conditions, fabrication method, testing and documentation scope.

Industry-Focused Steel Sourcing Starts with the Actual Service Conditions

Industrial equipment does not use one universal steel. A plate suitable for a storage tank may not suit a pressure vessel, creep-controlled temperature service, wet-H₂S exposure, chlorides or a reactive chemical process.

Start with the equipment, governing specification and operating conditions. Pressure, temperature, process medium, corrosion allowance, toughness, welding, heat treatment, inspection and documentation must be considered together.

Industries We Support

Oil & Gas Refining

Refinery and hydroprocessing enquiries can involve pressure vessels, separators, columns, drums and heat-exchanger components exposed to demanding pressure, temperature and process conditions. Where wet-H₂S or hydrogen-related controls are specified, the RFQ must define the applicable service standard, HIC test method, acceptance criteria, hardness controls and certificates.

Power & Energy

For boiler, steam-drum and HRSG-related equipment, distinguish normal pressure-vessel service from elevated-temperature and creep-controlled duty. The required metal temperature, code, allowable stress, welding and post-weld heat-treatment scope govern the route.

Chemical Processing

Chemical-process equipment requires an application-specific review. The chemical, concentration, temperature, impurities, aeration, flow, cleaning method, geometry and fabrication route can all affect the material decision.

Petrochemicals & Fertilizer Plants

Ammonia, urea, methanol and related process equipment may combine pressure, temperature, hydrogen and corrosive-media considerations. Material routes should be confirmed against the design basis and exact component rather than selected from a generic plant name.

Shipbuilding & Marine Yards

Marine projects can include modules, onboard pressure equipment, tanks, heat exchangers and desalination systems. Marine atmosphere or seawater exposure does not make a grade automatically class-approved or universally corrosion-resistant; classification, design and project approval must be separately verified.

Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Tanks & Reactors

Atmospheric storage tanks, pressure vessels, boilers and reactors have different design bases. A boiler or reactor may require temperature, process-chemistry, heat-treatment and inspection considerations that do not apply to a standard tank.

How Navgraha Steels INC Reviews an Industrial RFQ

Navgraha Steels INC reviews plates, sheets and coils against the information supplied by the buyer. The review can consider the material specification, form, dimensions, quantity, delivery condition, required testing, certification, inspection, processing, packing and destination.

For a project requirement, provide the complete approved material specification where available. The grade, mill/origin, certificate level, third-party inspection, cutting or profiling, traceability transfer and export documents are confirmed only within the accepted quotation and order scope. No generic supplier statement should be treated as a fixed commitment for every order.

Material Documentation and Project Controls

Depending on the ordered material and project, buyers may request EN 10204 Type 3.1 MTC or arranged Type 3.2 certification, heat-number traceability, impact testing, ultrasonic examination, PMI, HIC testing, hardness controls, heat-treatment records or third-party inspection. The requested standard, edition, test method, acceptance criteria and inspection release point should be included in the RFQ.

ASME, IBR, PED, classification-society, NACE/AMPP or other requirements apply only when the relevant material, component, authority and inspection scope have been identified. Material supply does not itself establish compliance for a completed boiler, vessel, tank, reactor, marine structure or process plant.

Plates, Sheets and Coils for Industry Requirements

Available material routes may include:

Each category contains grade-specific routes. Product form, thickness, delivery condition and test scope need confirmation against the order. Plates, sheets and coils are supplied as flat products; they must not be described as automatically covering pipe, tube, fittings, forgings, castings, bar, welding consumables or completed equipment.

India and Export Industrial Material Supply

For Mumbai, India and export enquiries, send the delivery city, country or port, required date, Incoterm, packing requirement and inspection-release conditions. Freight, preservation, export documents and shipment planning depend on the actual order, destination and commercial terms.

Domestic and export enquiries are accepted for review. Availability, approved mill/origin, certificate scope, processing, packing and delivery commitment are confirmed case by case in the quotation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which industries does Navgraha Steels INC support?
The industry routes on this page cover oil and gas refining, power and energy, chemical processing, petrochemicals and fertilizer plants, shipbuilding and marine yards, and boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and reactors.
Do all industries use the same steel grade?
No. Grade selection depends on the equipment, code, pressure, temperature, medium, corrosion conditions, fabrication requirements and approved project specification.
Can I select steel by industry name alone?
No. An industry name provides context, but the equipment and service conditions determine the required material route. Provide the component, design conditions and applicable specification in the RFQ.
Are all refinery plates HIC or NACE tested?
No. HIC and sour-service controls are only required when the service and project specification call for them. The exact standard, test method and acceptance criteria must be stated.
Which material route is used for high-temperature equipment?
For specified elevated-temperature duty, a chrome-moly or molybdenum-bearing route may be considered. The design authority must confirm metal temperature, creep requirements, welding and heat-treatment controls.
Can nickel-alloy plates be used for chemical-process equipment?
Selected nickel-alloy routes may be evaluated for confirmed process conditions. They are not universally suitable for all chemicals, acids, chlorides or temperatures.
What documentation should be included in an industrial steel RFQ?
State the MTC level, traceability, tests, acceptance criteria, inspection authority, processing, packing and export documents required for the order.
Do you support export enquiries?
Yes. Send the destination, port or city, Incoterm, packing requirement, inspection release and required delivery date. Export terms are confirmed individually in the quotation.
